Printed on hand-embroidered photo paper, glued on a white Grain cardboard.
The idea is great, and the result sublime. Brigitte who made a career in French Haute Couture, before moving to design and decoration in Marrakech, now turns to photo embroidery.
"It's like 3D couture; it gives another cachet and relief to the photo." When asked about her technique, Brigitte explains: "To embroider photos, I use everything I can get my hands on, from sequins to beads, ribbons to feathers, paint or nail polish. It's a tedious job; embroidering on a photo is much more complicated than on fabric, because the photo gets scratched and damaged. The result is edifying.
In the end, it is no longer a simple embroidered and colored photo, but a real work of art. Moreover, connoisseurs are not mistaken: her creations, all unique pieces are sold in the 4 corners of the world.
